NEDCA 2023 Golf Croquet Open S

Hosted at the Benalla Croquet Club on Friday 28 April 2023.
Thirty-four participants from nine clubs across three divisions welcomed by Debbie Hazell (Benalla President) and Maurice Cevaal-Hewitt (NEDCA President) before play began at 9.00 am on nine courts and concluded with presentations at 5.15 pm. A long day for court setters (Benalla members), referees (Maurice Cevaal-Hewitt Bruce Blay and Sarina Cevaal-Hewitt), scorers (Lorraine Cumming and Helen Collins) and catering crew (Benalla members).
Close results in some blocks with winners decided on net hoops or count back.
Thank you to everyone who assisted with the planning prior to the event and those who contributed to the smooth running of the event on the day.

NEDCA 2023 Autumn Social Day

Hosted at Wodonga Croquet Club on Friday 5 May 2023.
Thirty-eight players braved the coolish overcast conditions to play two games before lunch and two after lunch. Great to see three Corryong Croquet Club members join us for their first social outing.
Winner Blue Block: Terry Wilson (Wangaratta) with 4 games, nett 14 hoops.
Runners-up: John Durieux (Howlong) and Christine Ireland (Beechworth), both with 4 games nett 6 hoops.
Winner Red Block: Paul Jeffries (Albury) with 4 games nett 6 hoops.
Runner-up: Maureen O'Keefe (Wangaratta Croquet Club) with 3 games nett 8 hoops.
Raffle winners: Judy Presnell, Monica Conway and Garry Mann (all Wodonga Croquet Club).

Beechworth Croquet Club keep their title as reigning champions.
Scores were; Beechworth 9 games/ 71 hoops defeated challengers Wodonga Croquet Club 3 games/ 53 hoops. This week's team were David Box,Sue Rue, Allan Holt and John Barwood
