Victories for Robert Fletcher (Lismore), Greg Fletcher (Lismore) and Tricia Devlin (Castlemaine) in Presidents Eights held at the VCC

Robert Fletcher comfortably took out the 1st Eight (Eddie Hunt Trophy) with 10 wins from 14 games including 7 triple peels. Kevin Beard (Brunswick) finished as runner-up on hoops in a 5-way photo-finish of players on 7 wins. This included Trevor Bassett (Kyabram) who finished in 5th place also on 7 wins.

The 2nd Eight (Tom Howat Cup) was won on hoops by Martin Clarke (NSW) from Ken Bald (Horsham Kalimna Park) both players finishing with 11 wins from 14 games. Simon Watkins (Brighton) finished in 3rd position.

The 3rd Eight (Major Tingey Tray) was won by Greg Fletcher on hoops from Liz Fleming (QLD). Both players finished with 9 wins from their 14 games.

Tricia Devlin continued her good start to the season winning the Womens Eight (Jean Armstrong Bowl) with a record of 9 wins from 14 games.
