Success
Monash Blue won the Metro Shield against Kew, winning nine games 78 hoops to three games 62 hoops. Well done to the team of Kaye (captain), Geoff, John O, and Richard. Photo below. They had terrific support from club members who went out to watch the games. Monash White came close to getting into the finals too. All welcome to join in the Spring season.

AGM
At our AGM our president Selwyn Tucker stood down, but will continue on the committee as vice-president. The club thanks Selwyn for his three years as president. Kaye Molyneux has taken the reins.

Social
Annemarie, Claire Gwen, Jacky, Jan, Jo, John and Trish, have recently joined the club. Welcome.

Competition
The GC open tournament had a range of entrants from country and metro clubs, an excellent response. See side panel for results. Eighteen club members played or assisted with the days.

The Monash 2016 association tournament was held in March, with the largest ever field. See the RHS side panel for winners and runners-up. Photo of afternoon tea below.

Richard Parks is the inaugural EMCA GC champion, level 9-12. Congratulations. He won the play-off and will be EMCA's representative in the GC Regional Challenge, section 6-8.
