The Victorian Croquet Centre, our headquarters, is the perfect venue for
your event. It is available for hire to
Corporations, Businesses, Community Groups, Individuals and Family Groups
for events with or without croquet.
The purpose-built facility in Cairnlea, in the western suburbs of Melbourne,
features 12 full size courts and a state-of-the-art pavilion. The
function area seats 200, with a licensed bar and a commercial kitchen, and
overlooks manicured grass courts.

The 2017 Victorian Eire Cup Team competed in Hobart from 22-26 March. The team won all their test matches against the other five states and regained the Eire Cup for Victoria.

Winter doubles at Morwell
Morwell Croquet Club held their Golf Croquet Handicap Doubles Tournament over 15-16 July. What a weekend it was.
Gippsland turned on all types of weather. On Saturday players looked like eskimos, on Sunday they had to find hoops in the fog when they hit off.
By Sunday afternoon the sun had finally broken through, and it turned out to be very pleasant with some players even taking off their jackets.
President's Service Award goes to Dot Dickson
Dot Dickson of Essendon Croquet Club has become the second recipient of the Croquet Vic President's Service Award, presented with the agreement of Council to members who have made an outstanding contribution to croquet in Victoria.
Since joining Essendon Croquet Club in 2005, Dot has contributed to croquet at state, regional and club level.
Croquet legend honoured
At its Annual General Meeting on 19 June 2017, Croquet Victoria elected Owen Edwards as a Life Member.
At the meeting, Owen was described as a croquet legend: as a player, an ambassador for croquet, a referee, and a renowned expert on the laws of Association Croquet and the Rules of Golf Croquet.
Owen has been playing croquet for over 30 years, since taking up the game in 1984.
Next steps on Croquet Vic Strategic Plan
The June meeting of Council approved action to take forward the Croquet Vic Strategic Plan in 2017 and 2018.
This includes work on governance, membership, image and capability.
